Welcome to another edition of Money While You Sleep. Hope everyone got some time this holiday to enjoy it with friends and family, this is really what it’s all about. The stock market does it again and provides a very strong finish to the year after a really good November. Before I get into the details here are a few things we have been up to:

• Mid December I really started to hit the gym and focus on my health
• Had an amazing Christmas with the family
• Our 7 year old played in a Christmas Hockey tournament
• We got to spend some time with our new Niece Sarina
• Enjoyed ourselves at my companies Christmas party
• Both kids were in their school Christmas play which included our daughter as the grinch

Portfolio details:

• All-time high in the portfolio!

Sold:

Sold Eldorado Gold Corporation (ELD.TO) at a small profit but in theory has been a disappointment for several years and would of down better in any of my blue chip holdings

Bought

Used the sell on ELD.TO and moved it to CASH.TO until we start buying again, nice way to lock in a guaranteed profit.

Dividend increases and decreases

After a month of 8 dividend increases surprisingly it was followed up with a few more

• The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD.TO) 6% Increase
• AltaGas Ltd. (ALA.TO) 6% Increase
• Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO) 3% Increase

2023 Dividends

December brought our best month in history by receiving cash/dividends of $752.31 . That’s a YOY increase of 13%. We dripped 14 new shares. We beat our 2023 goal of $6,300 in dividends by collecting $6,385.93.
